FAQ

IS THIS EVENT ONLY FOR LILA STUDENTS AND FAMILIES? CAN I INVITE MY FRIENDS?

This event is open to EVERYBODY. Please invite all your friends and family to come join in the fun! 

 

MY FRIENDS WANT TO GO TO LILAPALOOZA BUT THEY DON'T GO TO LILA, HOW CAN THEY GET TICKETS?

You can help your friends out by buying LILA$ for them via School Cash Online. Or they can buy their own LILA$ at the LILA$ ticketing booth on the day of the event.

WHAT IS THE COST OF ADMISSION?

Admission is free! While there is no cost to get into LILApalooza, you will need to purchase LILA$ - our own event-specific currency to spend on food, activities, arts & crafts,  boutique items, etc. If you are a LILA parent, please click on the link above to purchase your LILA$. If you are not currently a LILA parent, you may purchase your LILA$ at the ticketing booth at LILApalooza. 

 

Please remember that LILApalooza is a cashless event - there will be no exchange of currency other than LILA$.

CAN I PURCHASE LILA$ AHEAD OF TIME?

We strongly encourage LILA parents to buy LILA$ packages via School Cash Online before the event to minimize the time you have to spend waiting in line when you arrive. Sales on School Cash Online close on Wednesday, May 15. You will also be able to buy your LILA$ on campus at Los Feliz on Thursday, May 16 and Friday, May 17.

 

If you are not currently a LILA parent you can either have a LILA family purchase you the tickets ahead of time or buy your LILA$ at the ticketing booth on the field when you arrive at the event.

 

CAN I BUY TICKETS ON SITE?

We don’t have “tickets” per se. Admission is free but you will have to buy our event-specific currency (LILA$) to pay for anything at LILApalooza. 

 

You may absolutely buy your LILA$ on site - head over to the ticketing booth (right by the balloon arch near the entrance to the event). Our friendly staff will be happy to help you!

 

HOW DO I PAY FOR MY LILA$?

If you are a LILA parent, you may purchase your LILA$ via School Cash Online before the event. At the event, you may buy them at the ticketing booth with your credit card or cash.

 

I DIDN'T USE UP ALL MY LILA$ AT THE EVENT. CAN I TURN THEM BACK IN AT THE END OF THE DAY AND GET CASH BACK?

Sorry, LILA$ are non-refundable. If you have LILA$ left over at the end of the day, please consider donating them back to the school. There will be a donation box at the ticketing booth for this purpose. 

I SIGNED UP TO VOLUNTEER, BUT NOW REALIZE I CAN'T WORK MY TIME SLOT, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Please remember that if you don’t show up for your spot and don’t find a replacement, you are inconveniencing the parent volunteer that you are supposed to relieve. Please be considerate of everyone else who would also like to enjoy the day with their children and family!

 

As soon as you realize that you can’t work your time slot, please make suitable arrangements to have someone cover for you. If you know before the event, please change your sign-up. If it happens at LILApalooza, please find a friend to cover for you and head over to the Volunteer booth to let our wonderful Volunteer Coordinators know what’s going on. If you can’t find a replacement, a Volunteer Coordinator may be able to fill your spot with a floating volunteer. 

WE ARE BRINGING A DISABLED PERSON TO LILAPALOOZA, WILL THERE BE DISABLED PARKING AVAILABLE?

There will be disabled parking available on campus.

SINCE LILAPALOOZA IS OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC, IS ANY SORT OF SECURITY PROVIDED?

Yes! We hire security to work at the event all day.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?

The show must go on. Bring your wellies (that’s rain boots to you Californians) and an umbrella.

CAN I BRING MY DOG?

Please leave ALL pets at home - they are not permitted on school property.

WHAT IF I LOSE SOMETHING OR MY KID?

There will be a lost & found area by the balloon arch.

IS IT A BIG DEAL IF I SNEAK IN MY OWN BOTTLE OF WINE? 

Yes, it's a big deal. We have a liquor license for this event and have taken all steps to follow it, including having security. We don't want to do anything to jeopardize this event in the future.

WHAT IF A KID GETS INJURED?

There will be first aid available. Head to the balloon arch for help.

WILL THERE BE BABYSITTING OR SMALL CHILDREN’S AREA?

Yes, there is a kindergarten & under corner near the prize tables with a ball pit and water tables. While you can let your small child play in the playground, please do not leave them unsupervised!

WILL THERE BE GLUTEN-FREE AND/OR VEGAN FOOD AVAILABLE?

Yes.

WHERE WILL THE MONEY RAISED AT LILAPALOOZA GO?

All profits from the event will support campus improvements at Los Feliz and the Early Learning Center.

Please head over to the Ambassadors' booth and introduce yourself to our fabulous Admissions Team. You can also chat with other LILA ambassadors who are current LILA parents and happy to talk to you about our wonderful school.
